We love it. Not only because it was designed and built by our fabulous designers and developers, or because it is one of the most inspiring charities you can give to – but simply because it solves a problem. A problem, that in a few days, we are all going to have to face up to.
One of the age-old problems of Mother’s Day is expense, and your mother standing there and saying: ‘Oh no, don’t worry this year love! I don’t NEED anything.’
‘NEED’ is of course the operative word.
In actual fact she’s standing there and saying: ‘After all these years? No I don’t NEED anything. But I definitely DESERVE something, do you not think?’
MAXX understand this dilemma all too well. So we figured, why not solve it? No matter what your age – the repercussions of missing Mother’s Day can be dire. So when Breakthrough Breast Cancer approached us looking for creative solutions based around Mother’s day to raise money, we figured we could solve two problems at once. Save you from the dreaded ‘forgotten-Mother’s-day-wrath’, and also raise money for the fantastic and inspiring charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Our brief was to produce a creative solution to fundraise for Breakthrough, centered on the theme of Mother’s Day. Having previously produced highly successful campaigns such as the Send a Snowflake App – we couldn’t wait to get started. And what better way to centre around Mother’s Day than solving the eternal problem of what to get her? One of our designers came up with the idea of personalised IOU vouchers to slip into cards: from expense free ‘doing the garden’ – to a dinner for the two of you. We came up with a wealth of options to delight and satisfy, as well as a completely alterable voucher in which you can make up your own ‘promise’. Once complete you can print off or send as an email on the day. Of course, Breakthrough asks for a small voluntary donation in aid of their cause, but we think it’s worth it. You can donate from nothing, to £3, to £50 and more! You can give as much or as little as you want, and will also automatically get entered into their competition to win a luxury spa package for two – totalling £250 worth of pampering.
